Attached is a two page document listing the candidates that were endorsed by the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union for the primary election that was held on August 3rd. More than 90% of the candidates endorsed by the MPFFU won their primary elections.

The MPFFU Executive Board considered several factors in making these endorsements including previous voting records, satisfactory completion of our MPFFU Candidate Questionnaire, interviews directly with many of the candidates, recommendations by local unions, advice and counsel of our lobbyist, Melissa Yutzey, the general consensus of the strength of the candidates campaign, and the overall long term benefit to our membership.

After the MPFFU Executive Board reviews all the results of the primary election and the resulting match-ups, a new list of endorsements will be distributed for the general election in November.

MOST FIRE-EMS MILLAGE VOTES WERE POSITIVE

Fire and/or EMS Millage votes were sucessful in Saginaw, Commerce Twp., Summit Twp., Northville Twp., Washington Twp., Brighton, and Delhi Twp.  The millage vote in Romulus was narrowly defeated by a 51%-49% margin.  Fire Millage results in other communities will be added when we receive the results.
