The City of Owosso is recruiting for the position of Fire Fighter/Paramedic to join our professional fire department team. This skilled position responds under emergency conditions to protect life, property, and the environment from fire and the release of hazardous and toxic materials; as well as providing rescue and emergency medical services at an advanced level to save and protect life. The position is full-time and is not Safer-Grant funded. Must have a minimum: State of Michigan certification as Fire Fighter I and II, EMT certification, high school diploma or GED and a current driver’s license. Advanced Life Support Paramedic State Certification and Associates degree is preferred. Annual base salary starting at $45,020 up to $55,500 with excellent fringe benefits (medical, dental, vision, paid time off, life insurance, pension plan, etc.). The 54th Biennial Convention of the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union is going to be held on April 28-29-30, 2020 at the Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton.
Convention committees will meet on April 27th. There will also be a welcome reception in the evening on April 27th. Anyone planning on attending this convention should make their hotel reservations as soon as possible. It is recommended that you arrive on April 27th and check-out on April 30th.
