Staffing Bill Update
We are pleased to announce that our Staffing Bill, HB 5290, has been introduced by Rep. Prestin (R–Gaylord). Rep. Prestin kept his word, and now it’s up to us to help get this bill across the finish line.
HB 5290 is identical to the Senate version, SB 319, which passed earlier this year. |

The City of Livonia would like to share an important update from the Wayne County Department of Public Services.
Wayne County will resurface Six Mile Road between Middle Belt Road and Inkster Road beginning Friday, June 19. The project is expected to take approximately eight days, weather permitting. |

House Fire 1-18-26

This morning at 1:30am all stations responded to a house fire, first arriving units reported heavy smoke and flames from the charlie side. Crews made an interior attack and found the fire on the first floor. The fire was extinguished with No injuries reported and the incident wrapped up around 3:30am. Nice job to all crews including Fire Prevention who is still on scene investigating . |

Building Fire in Garden City

17:18 call time -Garden City Fire received a report from a civilian that a building was on fire down the street. Crews arrived at a working fire with smoke from the eaves. The fire was spreading across the top of the building. Fire crews evacuated the building, and a defensive posture was taken. Command made a call for a second box alarm. |

Each year, Livonia holds our Adopt-a-Senior Donation Drive, wherein our community comes together to provide resources and goodies for those living in our senior living facilities.
Our Livonia Police Department and Livonia Fire & Rescue team up to deliver these gifts.
